Checks and Balances
Andrews [41]

We can actually deduce here that the system of "checks and balances" contributes to American democracy because it helps to check-mate the power of the branches of government and makes each one not to gain too much.

What is checks and balances?

Checks and balances is known as the system that was introduced into American democracy. The purpose was to monitor the power of each arm of government and to make sure no one weighs power above the other.

In other words, checks and balances help to make that each arm of government doesn't go extreme.

This is why if Congress writes laws, the president must sign it and the Supreme Court may decide reverse.

This also makes the branches of government to work together.

How do writers of epics typically start their poems? A. By honoring Zeus, the king of gods B. By invoking their muse C. By prais
adelina 88 [10]

Answer:

B. By invoking their muse

Explanation:

Epic singing originated from the need to show and celebrate an event or personality. These were usually war conflicts and feats of war.

Writers of epics typically star their poems by invoking their muse. In the Iliad, in the beginning, the writer invokes his muse "Sing, Goddess, Achilles rage". This is an epic invocation.Epic invocation serves as an introduction to upcoming events. The writer invokes one of the nine muses of Greco-Roman mythology. The poets ask from them usually inspiration, knowledge or some kind of skill.
