Step-by-step explanation:

1. Hold up all ten fingers on your hand

2. Count N fingers from the left

3. Lower that finger

4. Read off the answer from your finger. The number of fingers before that lowered finger give you the number of tens in the answer.

How could you use Descartes' Rule and the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra to predict the number of complex roots to a polynomial,
salantis [7]

Answer:

Descartes' rule states that the possible number of the positive roots of a polynomial is equal to the number of sign changes in the coefficients of the terms or less than the sign changes by a multiple of 2.

The Fundamental Theorem of Algebra states that every polynomial equation over the field of complex numbers of degree higher than 1 has a complex solution, furthermore any polynomial of degree n has n roots.

Remember that the complex numbers include the real numbers.

Suppose we are given the polynomial x^3+3x^2-x-x^4-2, we arrange the terms of the polynomial in the descending order of exponents:

-x^4+x^3+3x^2-x-2, count the number of sign changes, there are 2 sign changes in the polynomial, so the possible number of positive roots of the polynomial is 2 or 0.

returning to our polynomial above, -x^4+x^3+3x^2-x-2, it has degree 4 and so has n roots. Note that complex roots always come in pairs, so here is what can be said from these two rules:

degree 1 has 1 real root

degree 2 has 2 real roots or 2 complex roots

degree 3 has 3 real roots or 1 real root and 2 complex roots

degree 4 has 4 real roots or 2 real roots and 2 complex roots

note that if the degree is odd, there will be at least 1 real root

What is the slope of the line that passes through the points (-4, -9) and (5, 3)
egoroff_w [7]

Answer:

4/3

Step-by-step explanation:

Moving from (-4, -9) to (5, 3), x (the 'run') increases by 9 from -4 to 5, and y (the 'rise') increases by 12 from -9 to +3.  Thus, the slope of the line connecting the two points is

m = rise / run = 12/9 = 4/3

It may help to think of the change in x (9) as the horizontal leg of a right triangle and the change in y (12) as the vertical leg.  Then

m = (vertical leg length) / (horizontal leg length) = 12/9 = 4/3

Guys look at the pic of the park and read the question I need this ASAP WITH ALL STEPS the choices are
Alik [6]

Answer:

A. 821.5 Square Yards

Step-by-step explanation:

30 x 30= 900

900 is the area for the whole park

To find the pool area you need to do pi times Radius squared

so 3.14 x 5 x 5

That equals 78.5 for the pool area.

So to find the grass area you need to subtract the pool area from the park

900 - 78.5 = 821.5 square yards!
