A circle has a radius of 3. An arc in this circle has a central angle of 20°
Alla [95]

Answer:

The length of the arc is 1.0467

Step-by-step explanation:

First of all to solve this problem we need to use the circumferenc formula of a circle:

c = circumference

r = radius = 3

π = 3.14

c = 2π * r

we replace with the known values

c = 2 * 3.14 * 3

c = 18.84

The length of the circumference is 18.84

Now we have to divide the 20° by the 360° that a circle has, to know what part of the circle it represents

20° / 360° = 1/18

Now we multiply this fraction by the circumference and obtain the length of the arc

1/18 * 18.84 = 1.0467

The length of the arc is 1.0467

What is the smallest degree of rotation that will map a regular 18-gon onto itself?
Korolek [52]
Because the 18-gon is symmetrical, you can rotate it by 360/18 or 20 degrees. This is because when you rotate it by 20 degrees(to the left for explanation matters), any angle will now be in the position of its angle to its left.

Nell's mortgage is $50,150 at 10 percent for 30 years.
Rasek [7]

Answer:

The correct option is a.

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that Nell's mortgage is $50,150 at 10 percent for 30 years and she must pay $8.78 points per $1,000.

EMI on $1000 is $8.78, so EMI on $1 is

EMI on $1 = 8.78/1000 = 0.00878

EMI on $50150 is

EMI on $50150 = 0.00878 x 50150 = 440.317 = 440.32

Therefore the correct option is a.

Hope this help you! ^_^

How are rigid transformations used to justify the SAS congruence theorem?
Katena32 [7]
(Refer to the diagram in the attached photo.)

In this diagram there is defined two Sides and an Angle in between (SAS).

Notice how there are two loose endpoints in the diagram. A single line segment can be drawn connecting the endpoints, forming a unique triangle.

If the original diagram is transformed, the dimensions and angles formed by the third line segment remains the same relative to the first two.

Therefore, if two triangles have the same SAS configuration, then they are congruent.
