Answer:

2,769 boxes in 1 hour.

Step-by-step explanation:

The time taken by a machine to make a box = 1\frac{3}{10} seconds = 1.3 seconds

We have to calculate how many boxes can the machine make in 1 hour.

As we know 60 seconds = 1 minute and 60 minute = 1 hour

∵  1.3 seconds taken by the machine to make = 1 box

∴ in one minute machine can make boxes = \frac{60}{1.3}

                                                                       = 46.15 boxes

∴ in 1 hour machine can make boxes = 46.15 × 60

                                                            = 2,769 boxes

Machine can make 2,769 boxes in 1 hour.

Since a machine make a box per 0.3 seconds, 1 hour would be 3600. 3600 divided by 0.3 is 12000. And that is the answer.

Tommy earned $76.00 in interest after 5 years on a principal of $400. Jane earned $82.00 in interest after 2 years on a principa
vovikov84 [41]

Answer:

The bank in which Jane has invested.

Step-by-step explanation:

For Tommy's Bank:

P = $400

t = 5 years

I = $76

Simple interest formula is given by

I=Prt\\\\76=400(r)5\\\\r=0.038\\\\r=3.8\%

For Jane's Bank:

P = $1000

t = 2 years

I = $82

Simple interest formula is given by

I=Prt\\\\82=1000(r)2\\\\r=0.041\\\\r=4.1\%

Since, Jane's bank has higher interest rate. It means one can get higher interest if invest in this bank.

Therefore, we should prefer the bank in which Jane has invested.

weqwewe [10]

Answer:

A -60i - 14j

Step-by-step explanation:

u = -9i + 8j

v = 7i + 5j

2u = 2(-9i + 8j) = -18i + 16j

6v = 6(7i + 5j) = 42i + 30j

2u - 6v

(-18i + 16j) - (42i + 30j)

(-18i - 42i) + (16j-30j)

-60i - 14j
