Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

a) A = (28 - 14) / 2 = 7

b) T = 2(11½ - 6½) = 10

c) P = (6½ - T/4, 28 - A) = (4, 21)

d) general form y = Asin(ωx + φ) + d

  We have already found amplitude A = 7

  the upward displacement from the x axis is 21

  The portion in parenthesis will be in radians. The cycle repeats every 10 x units so ω = 2πx/10 = 0.2πx

To find φ, which is 4/10 of a cycle behind the upward tracing zero point, we subtract 2π(4/10) = 0.8π

y = 7sin(0.2πx - 0.8π) + 21

y = 7sin(π(0.2x - 0.8)) + 21

e) The easiest "difference" we can make is to change φ

Because the pattern repeats, 4/10 of a cycle backward is the same as 6/10 of a cycle forward. 6/10(2π) = 1.2π

y = 7sin(π(0.2x + 1.2)) + 21

We could also change it to a cosine function which would also change our option for φ by π/2

Raul has 56 bouncy balls. He puts three times as many balls into red bags as he puts into green gift bags. If he puts the same n
Sati [7]
If we divide 56 by 4 we get 14.  Why by4?  So that one number is 3 times the other So he had 14 balls that went into the green bags and 42 (56-14) that went into the red bags.  We could just answer the question and say 14 but I think they want to know how many in each green bag.
14 and 42 don't work because they are not the same number of balls.  What number is a common factor?  7 is,
We could have 2 green bags and split the 14 balls into 2 groups of 7 and with the remaining 42 - put them into 6 red bags of 7 each.
And so the answer to your question is:
7 ball in each bag  = 2 bags are green, and 6 bags are red
                                        14 balls              +    42 balls            = 56 bouncy balls

The radius of a circle is measured at 15.6cm. The actual radius is 15.3cm. Find, to the nearest percent, the percent error in th
Anon25 [30]

Answer:

Percentage\hspace{3}error\approx 1.96\%

Step-by-step explanation:

The error percentage is a measure of how inaccurate a measurement is, standardized based on the size of the measurement. It can be easily calculated using the following formula:

Percentage\hspace{3}error=|\frac{v_A-v_E}{v_E} | \times 100

Where:

v_A=Approximate\hspace{3}value\\v_E=Exact\hspace{3}value

Therefore, according to the data provided by the problem:

v_A=15.6\\v_E=15.3

The percentage error is:

Percentage\hspace{3}error=|\frac{15.6-15.3}{15.3}| \times 100 = 1.960784314\%\approx 1.96\%
