History
1 answer:
gregori [183]3 years ago
4 0

Explanation:

The presidential campaign of 1896 was one of the most exciting in American history. The central issue was the country’s money supply. An economic depression had begun in 1893, and public opinion—and even the Democratic Party—was split between those who favoured the gold standard and those who favoured free silver, a type of currency inflation, to help alleviate the depression. Most Republicans, as well as Democratic supporters of Pres. Grover Cleveland, were in favour of the gold standard. Southern and western Democrats and Populists (also known as the People’s Party)—many of them farmers who were suffering financially—vied for free silver, which ultimately helped bring those two parties together.

which economic policy was based on the idea that the American colonies is is primarily to provide economic benefits for Great Br
KatRina [158]
It would be the economic policy of "mercantilism" that was based on the idea that the American colonies primarily were meant to provide economic benefits for Great Britain, since this philosophy held that trade between two entities benefits mainly the larger entity (in this case Britain), and that it is in that entity's best interest to protect its trading partner (the colonies).

elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]

Answer:

Option C.

Explanation:

That it is open to interpretation,is the right answer.

Historiography is the work of history based on the judicious analysis of sources, the determination of appropriate features from the genuine materials in such sources, and the combination of those aspects into an account that holds the test of decisive research. Historiography is a term which is used to refer to the principles and history of the historical record. Historiography suggests that it is open to interpretation and thus scholars can add their point of view in support and against the existing historiography.
