Pq=6x+25 and qr=16-3x; find pr
Viktor [21]

Given:\\\overline{PQ}=6x+25\\\overline{QR}=16-3x\\\\Finding:\overline{PR}

If \; Q \; is \; a \; point \; in \; between \; the \; line \; segment \; \overline{PR}, \; \\ then \; the \; distance \; of \; line \; segment \; \overline{PR} \; \\ can \; be \; found \; by \; adding \; line \; segment \; \overline{PQ} \; and \; \overline{QR}.

Using \; the \; concept \; \overline{PQ}+\overline{QR}=\overline{PR} \;,\\ we \; need \; to \; set \; up \; an \; equation \; given \; below:

\overline{PR} =6x+25 +16-3x\\\\Step \; 1: Grouping \; Like \; Terms\\\overline{PR} =6x-3x+25 +16\\\\Step \; 2: Combining \; Like \; Terms\\\overline{PR} =3x+41

Conclusion:

\overline{PR} \; is \; represented \; the \; expression \; 3x +41

PLEASE HELP !!! WITH THESE 2 PROBLEMS !!!! 30 POINTS !!! HELP!!!

The answer to your first question would be B, because in the word problem it says that she buys 6 pots, so therefore we can eliminate A and C. We are left with B and D. Now looking at the second equation, we see that x represents the 5 inch pots, which are $12. This would mean 12x, because if she bought 1 5 inch pot, she would spend $12, and the same way, 10 inch pots are represented by y, or $15. Pretty much, multiply the number of 10 inch pots she buys by 15. Therefore the answer is B.

Question 3 says that the sum of their ages are 105. So the first equation should be S + R = 105. The second part of the question says that Sara is 33 years younger than Rolando. This means 33 + Sara's age, represented by S, should equal Rolando's age. That is S + 33 = R.

Hope this helps. Please rate, leave a thanks, and mark a brainliest answer (Not necessarily mine). Thanks, it really helps! :D

The mayor of a town has proposed a plan for the construction of an adjoining community. A political study took a sample of 900 v
Aleks04 [339]

Answer:

P-value = 0.0367

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a hypothesis test for a proportion.

The claim is that the percentage of residents who favor construction is significantly over 42%.

Then, the null and alternative hypothesis are:

H_0: \pi=0.42\\\\H_a:\pi>0.42

The sample has a size n=900.

The sample proportion is p=0.45.

The standard error of the proportion is:

\sigma_p=\sqrt{\dfrac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}}=\sqrt{\dfrac{0.42*0.58}{900}}\\\\\\ \sigma_p=\sqrt{0.000271}=0.016

Then, we can calculate the z-statistic as:

z=\dfrac{p-\pi-0.5/n}{\sigma_p}=\dfrac{0.45-0.42-0.5/900}{0.016}=\dfrac{0.029}{0.016}=1.79

This test is a right-tailed test, so the P-value for this test is calculated as:

\text{P-value}=P(z>1.79)=0.0367

11. Justin needs to rent a car to go on vacation. EnvoCar charges $65 and $0.10 per mile. FreedomRide charges $80 and $0.05 per
Keith_Richards [23]

envo \: car = 65 + 0.10(m)

freedom \: ride = 80 + 0.05(m)

//

I honestly don't know how to do a)

//

envo \: car = 65 + 0.10(250) = 90.00

freedom \: ride = 80 + 0.05(250) = 92.50

He should rent from Envo Car because it would be cheaper.
