Whatever the obscure initial phase of written Chinese was, its appearance during the Shang dynasty<span> already exhibited sign of a very complex system. The earliest form of Chinese writing is called the oracle bone script, used from 1500 to 1000 BCE.

When two people want the same thing they become enemies. Between two governments they go to war. The way to stop this is to have one strong leader grant the people peace and prosperity as long as the people give up some rights.

Common power means some sovereign authority forces people to uphold the social contract. (People give up some rights in order for the leader to grant them peace, order, and prosperity)

The primary cause for the Boston Massacre was that patriots in Boston started throwing things such as rocks and sticks at British soldiers, which caused the soldiers to fire into the crowd. The most significant result was that it helped rally the colonists around the Revolutionary cause.
