Answer:

Please check the attached image for the depreciation schedule

2. Units of production method

Explanation:

Book value in year 1 = Cost of asset - Depreciation expense of year 1

Book value in year in subsequent years = previous book value - that year's depreciation expense

Accumulated depreciation is sum of deprecation expense

Straight line depreciation expense = (Cost of asset - Salvage value) / useful life

($18,000 - $3,000) / 4 = $3,750

Depreciation expense each year of the useful life is $3,750

Depreciation expense using the double declining method = Depreciation factor x cost of the asset

Deprecation factor = 2 x (1/useful life) = 0.5

Depreciation expense in year 1 = 0.5 x $18,000 = $9,000

Book value = $18,000 - $9,000 = $9,000

Depreciation expense in year 2 = 0.5 × $9,000 = $4,500

Book value = $9,000 - $4,500 = $4,500

Depreciation expense in year 3 = 0.5 x $4,500 = $2250

Book value = $4,500 - $2250 = $2250

Depreciation expense in year 4 = 0.5 × $2250 = $1125

Depreciation expense using the unit of production method =( Total production in the year/ total productive capacity) × (cost of asset - Salvage value)

Depreciation expense in year 1 = ($18,000 - $3,000) x (300 / 3000) = $1,500

Depreciation expense in year 2 =18,000 - $3,000) x (900 / 3000) = $4,500

Depreciation expense in year 3 = (18,000 - $3,000) x (1200 / 3000) = $6,000

Depreciation expense in year 3 = (18,000 - $3,000) x (600 / 3000) = $3,000

The Units of production method tracks wear and tear accurately because deprecation depends on the production each year.

A (Static) Using T accounts to record all business transactions. LO 3-1, 3-2, 3-4
kicyunya [14]

Answer:

It is very difficult to record T accounts since there is not a lot of room here and things get complicated very easily. So I used an excel spreadsheet to post the accounts on an accounting equation format.

Assets increase when they are debited and they decrease when they are credited. The opposite happens to liabilities and equity, they increase when they are credited and decrease when they are debited. Service revenue is credited, while all expenses are debited.

The reason why the drawings account has a negative balance is that even though it is an equity account, it has a debit balance since it decreases capital.

In order for the equation to balance, you have to close the accounts, but that was not a requirement of the question.

What liabilities does the business have after all transactions have been recorded?

the only liability account is accounts payable with a credit balance of $24,700

A firm uses the chase strategy of aggregate planning. It produced 1000 units in the last period. Demand in the next period is es
Maksim231197 [3]

Option E is correct.

Explanation:

Case strategy focuses on to produce only such amount of goods that is ordered by the customers. In the chase strategy of aggregate planning, demand and capacity are matched for every period, one by one. In the given problem, since the firm is using the chase strategy, it would first match demand and capacity for the next period.

Since the demand for the next period is 1100 units, and the firm produced 1000 units in the last period, it would require more workers to cater to the additional requirement of 100 units.

By hiring workers, the firm would be able to match the demand and supply for the next period.
