Mathematics

Answer:

15a^2 -17a +4

5a x 3a = 15a^2 bc a times a makes it squared.

next, 5a x -1 = -5a

and then -4 x 3a = -12a

-5a -12a (bc they're like terms) = -17a

then, -4 x -1= 4 ( two negs cancel each other out)

I apologize for my mistake the first time

C + 9 - 3( c - 10) &gt; 1<br>Solve the inequality<br>Please show steps
lana [24]

c + 9 - 3(c - 10) > 1

We're going to treat this like a regular algebraic equation, thus most algebraic rules and properties apply.

First, apply distributive property.

c + 9 <u>- 3c + 30</u> > 1 (two - signs cancel out, creating a + sign.)

Combine like terms.

<u>-2c + 39</u> > 1

Subtract 39 from both sides.

-2c > <u>-38</u>

Divide both sides by -2.

<u>c < 19</u> (Because we're dividing by a negative number, the sign gets swapped.)

<h3>Your answer is c < 19.</h3>

[39 POINTS] <br> If <img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=%20x%5E5k%3Da%5C%5C%20x%5E2k%5E2%3Db%20" id="TexFormula1" title=" x^5k=a\\
rjkz [21]

Given

x^5*k=a .................(1)

x^2*k=b .................(2)

We need to find x^3.

Solution:

On inspection, we note that (1)/(2) gives x^3 on the left hand side, but the division is valid on conditions that x &ne; 0 and k &ne; 0.

So we conclude:

(1) / (2)

\frac{x^5*k}{x^2*k^2} = \frac{a}{b}

=>

\frac{x^3}{k} = \frac{a}{b}

=>

x^3= \frac{ak}{b} on condition that x\ne{0} and k\ne{0}
