Answer:

(y^2+1)(x^2+1)=k

Step-by-step explanation:

It looks like it is possibly separatable.

Let's try.

Factor the x out on first term and factor the y out on second term:

x(y^2+1)dx+y(x^2+1)dy=0

Subtracting y(x^2+1)dy on both sides:

x(y^2+1)dx=-y(x^2+1)dy

Divide both sides by (y^2+1)(x^2+1):

x/(x^+2+1)dx=-y/(y^2+1)dy

Integrate both sides..

Use substitution u=x^2+1 and v=y^2+1...so du= 2x dx and dv=2y dy.

.5du/u=-.5dv/v

.5ln|u|=-.5ln|v|+c

Multiply both sides by 2:

ln|u|=-ln|v|+c

Plug in our substitutions :

ln|x^2+1|=-ln|y^2+1|+c

Absolute values unnecessary since insides are positive always.... also -ln(y^2+1)=ln(1/(y^2+1))

e^ on both sides:

x^2+1=k(1/y^2+1)

(y^2+1)(x^2+1)=k

(i) Note that it is given to you that 3a + 2b = 9

You are trying to find the value of 9a + 6b. Find what is multiplied to both the variable a & b. Divide:

(9a + 6b)/(3a + 2b) = 3

Next, multiply 3 to the 9 on the other side of the equation:

3 x 9 = 27

27 is the value of 9a + 6b.

(ii) Note that it is given to you that 8x + 6y = 60

You are trying to find the value of 4x + 3y. Find what is multiplied to both the variable x & y. Divide:

(8x + 6y)/(4x + 3y) = 2

Next, divide 2 from the 60 on the other side of the equation:

60/2 = 30

30 is the value of 4x + 3y.

How many solutions does -3(2x + 6) = -6x - 18 have
viktelen [127]

Answer: 0=0 The input is an identity or it is true for all values

-3(2x+6)=-6x-18

(-3*2x)+(-3*6)=-6x-18

-6x+-18=-6x-18
