( WILL GIVE BRAINLY) (20 POINTS) Tonya and Pearl each completed a separate proof to show that alternate interior angles AKL and

FLK are congruent. Who completed the proof incorrectly? Explain. (10 points)
Tonya's Proof

Statement Justification
1. line AB ∥ line EF with transversal segment GJ 1. Given
2. angle AKL is congruent to angle GKB 2. Vertical Angles Theorem
3. angle GKB is congruent to angle FLK 3. Corresponding Angles Theorem
4. angle AKL is congruent to angle FLK 4. Transitive Property

Pearl's Proof

Statement Justification
1. line AB ∥ line EF with transversal segment GJ 1. Given
2. angle AKL is congruent to angle GKB 2. Definition of Adjacent Angles
3. angle GKB is congruent to angle FLK 3. Corresponding Angles Theorem
4. angle AKL is congruent to angle FLK 4. Transitive Property

Pearl's Proof is incorrect.

The theorem is to proof ∠AKL≅ ∠FLK.

The real proof is as follows:

  • Line AB ║ EF with transversal segment Gj
  • Angle AKL is congruent to angle GKB . (Vertical Angles Theorem)
  • Angle GKB is congruent to angle FLK (Corresponding Angles Theorem)
  • angle AKL is congruent to angle FLK (Transitive Property)

Therefore, Tonya's Proof is definitely right and Pearl's Proof is definitely wrong.

The second proof of pearl was wrong. Angle AKL is congruent to angle GKB but they are not adjacent angles.

A water container holds 2 liters. How many
EastWind [94]

Number of containers for 2 litres of water = 1

So, number of containers for 1 litre of water = ½

So, number of containers for 30 litres of water

= ½ × 30

= 30/2

= 15

So, 15 of these containers would be needed to fill a 30-liter drum.

I’m pretty sure it’s -6 because f(x) is the first curve and g(x) is the second and there’s six spaces between each of their vertexes

Find measurement of arc JL.
Tresset [83]
4x-2 + 7x-18 + 6x+6 = 360 degrees

combine like terms

17x-14  = 360

add 14 to both sides

17x =374

 divide both sides by 17
x = 374 / 17 = 22

JL = 7x-18
replace x with 22 and calculate
7(22) - 18 = 154 -18 = 136 degrees
