The first step of writing a paragraph is to create an outline. In the outline, include the main topic of the paragraph, information and ideas relating to said topic, and determine the structure of your paragraph. Next, create a topic sentence. A good topic sentence will be specific enough to give a clear sense of what to expect from the paragraph without giving away the entire contents of your paragraph right at the start. The third step is to write supporting sentences. These sentences support the topic sentence and give the reader more information about the topic. The fourth step is to write a concluding sentence. This sentence briefly summarizes your main points and wraps up the topic. Lastly, make any edits and changes to grammar and spelling before completing your final paragraph.
