N2 + 3H2 ---> 2NH3

mass of N2 = 28g
mass of H2 = 2g
mass of NH3 = 17g

according to the reaction:
28g N2----------------- 3*2g H2
85,5g N2-------------------- x
x = 18,32g H2 >>> so, nitrogen is excess

according to the reaction:
2*3g H2---------------------- 2*17g NH3
17,3g H2 ------------------------- x
x = 98,03g NH3

answer: 98,03g of NH3

What is the shorthand notation (i.e., line notation) that best represents a complete electrochemical cell for the following galv
ruslelena [56]

Answer:

Sn^2+(aq)/Sn^3+(aq)//F2(g)/2F-(aq)

Explanation:

In writing the shorthand notation for an electrochemical cell, the oxidation half cell is shown on the left hand side and the reduction half cell is shown on the right hand side. The oxidation half equation reflects electron loss while the reduction half equation reflects electron gain.

A student mixes a 10.0 mL sample of 1.0 M NaOH with a 10.0 mL sample of 1.0 M HCl in a polystyrene container. The temperature of
ElenaW [278]

Answer:

The experimental value of ΔH is -50 kJ/mol

Explanation:

Step 1: Data given

Volume of 1.0 M NaOH = 10.0 mL = 0.01 L

Volume of 1.0 M HCl = 10.0 mL = 0.01 L

Temperature before mixing = 20 °C

Final temperature = 26 °C

Specific heat of solution = 4.2 J/g°C

Density = 1g/mL

Step 2: Calculate q

q = m*c*ΔT

⇒ with m = the mass

 ⇒ 20.0 mL * 1g/mL = 20 grams

⇒ c = specific heat of solution = 4.2 J/g°C

⇒ ΔT = T2 -T1 = 26 -20 = 6 °C

q = 20g * 4.2 J/g°C * 6°C

q = 504 J

ΔHrxn = -q ( because it's an exothermic reaction)

ΔHrxn = -504 J

Step 3: Calculate number of moles

Moles = Molarity * volume

Moles = 1M *0.01 L = 0.01 moles

Step 4: Calculate the experimental value of ΔH

ΔHrxn = -504 / 0.01 mol = -50400 J/mol = -50.4 kJ/mol

The experimental value of ΔH is -50 kJ/mol

How to calculate the frequency of an ion
sergij07 [2.7K]

solution:

You need to find the frequency, and they have already given you the wavelength. And since you already know the speed of light, you can use formula (2) to answer this problem. Remember to convert the nano meters to meters because the speed of light is in meters. (1 nm = 1.0 x 10^{-9} m)

v=c\lambda \\v= (3.00 \times 10^8 m/s)/(6.9\times 10^-7 m) \\v = 4.35 \times 10^{14} s^{-1}
