<span>We have a rectangle with two sides a and b, with length three times its width. So let's name:

a = </span>length
b = width

So, according to the relation:

a=3b

Part a)

First of all we draw the rectangle as shown in the figure 1. To place this rectangle on the coordinate plane we will take a point (x, y) and name it v1 that is the vertex 1. Next we will name the other vertices as v2, v3 adn v4. Finally, the segment v1v2 must be parallel to the x-axis

Part b)

Given that the vertex v1(x, y). As shown in the figure 2, v2 has the same value of y, but x increases 3b, so v2(x+3b, y). Applying the same reasoning to v3 and v4, we hava:

v1(x, y)
v2(x+3b, y)
v3(x, y+b)
v4(x+3b, y+b)

The number of bacteria in a refrigerated food product is given by N ( T ) = 27 T 2 − 180 T + 100 N(T)=27T2-180T+100, 7 &lt; T &l
NeX [460]

Answer:

N(T(t))=432t^2-374.4t-118.88

The number of Bactria after 5.8 hours is 12242.

Step-by-step explanation:

The number of bacteria in a refrigerated food product is given by

N(T)=27T^2-180T+100

where, T is the temperature of the food.

When the food is removed from the refrigerator, then the temperature is given by

T(t)=4t+1.6

We need to find the composite function N(T(t)).

N(T(t))=N(4t+1.6)

N(T(t))=27(4t+1.6)^2-180(4t+1.6)+100

N(T(t))=432t^2+345.6t+69.12-720t-288+100

N(T(t))=432t^2-374.4t-118.88

where N(T(t)) is the number of bacteria after t hours.

Substitute t=5.8 in the above function.

N(T(5.8))=432(5.8)^2-374.4(5.8)-118.88

N(T(5.8))=14532.48-2290.4

N(T(5.8))=12242.08

N(T(5.8))\approx 12242

Therefore, the number of Bactria after 5.8 hours is 12242.

7oz is equal to how many lbs round it to the nearest tenth
Juli2301 [7.4K]
There are 16 ounces in one pound. So we do 7 divided by 16 to get our answer.

7 / 16 = 0.4375 ≈ 0.4 lbs

7 oz is approximately 0.4 lbs.

The city of Raleigh has 10400 registered voters. There are two candidates for city council in an upcoming election: Brown and Fe
iVinArrow [24]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello!

a) The population of interest is the registered voters of the city of Raleigh.

b) This population is finite and its size is 10400 voters.

c) The sample was taken by making a telephone poll, calling 400 registered voters.

d) The sample size is n= 400 voters

The number of people that answered they'd vote for Brown are 151, so the sample proportion of voters that would vote for bron is:

p= 151/400= 0.3775 ≅ 0.38

e) To know how many people is expected to vote for Brown based on the results of the telephone poll you can do the following calculation:

10400*0.38= 3952

Based on the information obtained from the sample, it is expected that only 3952 voters will vote for Brown.
