Triangles T1 and T2 are congruent.
Inessa [10]

The single transformation that can be used to map T₁ onto T₂ is Rotate T₁ 180° about the origin.

<h3>What transformation would map T₁ onto T₂?</h3>

When a shape is rotated 180° about the origin, it means that the points go from (x, y) to (-x, -y).

The points on T₁ if rotated 180° about the origin would go from:
(-2, -2) to (2, 2)

(5, -6) to (-5, 6)

(5,0) to (-5, 0)

These are the points of T₂ so the way to map T₁ on T₂ is to use a 180° about the origin.

Why are exponents used in mathematics? Please help!! 10 points!!
Oksi-84 [34.3K]
Hi There!

Exponents are used in math so its easier to multiply. For example if you have to do 8 * 8 * 8 * 8 * 8 * 8 * 8 * 8, then to make it easier to multiply you could change into the exponent form 8^{8}  that is what exponents are used for in math

Hope This Helps :)

At a currency exchange, 3 U.S. dollars can be exchanged for 5 Japanese Yin. How many Yin will you receive for 1 U.S. dollar? As
salantis [7]

Answer:

The first answer is 1.66 Japanese Yin

The second answer is 0.60 U.S. Dollars

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of U.S. Dollars (USD) to Japanese Yin (JY) is 3 : 5 -

=  USD : JY

=     3   :   5

To find the number of Yin received for 1 Dollar, divide the ratio on both sides by 3 as for 3 Dollars you receive 5 Yin -

=  USD : JY

=     3    :    5

=     1     :   5/3

=     1     :   1.66

So, for 1 USD you will receive 1.66 JY

To find the number of Dollars received for 1 Yin, divide the ratio on both sides by 5 as for 5 Yin you receive 3 Dollars -

=  USD : JY

=     3    :    5

=   3/5   :   1

=   0.60 :   1

So, for 1 JY you will receive 0.60 USD

A cylindrical garbage can has a radius of 2.8ft and holds 86.21 cubic feet of trash. whats the height?
Crazy boy [7]

Answer:

Correct choice is A

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of the cylinder can be calculated using formula

V=\pi r^2 h,

where r is the base circle radius  and h is the height of the cylinder.

In your case, V=86.21\ ft^3,\ \ \ r=2.8\ ft,

then

86.21=\pi\cdot (2.8)^2\cdot h,\\ \\h=\dfrac{86.21}{7.84\pi}\approx \dfrac{86.21}{7.84\cdot 3.14}\approx 3.5\ ft.
