Please explain in depth what the answer is and how i show work! &lt;3 ;( <br> (picture shown below!)
Andru [333]
Answer: D

To show work is plug the the x-coordinates for the points given.

Example:
x=2
y=-(1/4)x^2
y=-(1/4)2^2
y=-(1/4)4
y=-1

Solving equations 15(x)=4(2x+3)
8_murik_8 [283]
The answer is x = 12/7

because you multiply 15 by x to get 15x
15x = 4(2x+3)
next you simplify the right side by using the distributive property by doing 15x = 4(2x) + 4(3)
Then you multiply 2 by 4 to get 8
15x = 8x + 4(3)
and multiply 4 by 3 to get 12
15x = 8x + 12
Now you move terms containing (x) to the left side of the equation.
Since 8x contains the variable to solve for, move it to the left side of the equation by subtracting 8x from both sides.
15x - 8x = 12
subtract 8x from 15x to get 7x
7x = 12
Also , divide each term by 7 and simplify
Divide each term in 7x = 12 by 7
7x/7 = 12/7
Lastly ,  reduce the expression by cancelling  the common factors by
crossing out  all 7s 7x/7 and leave 12/7 as it is, and divide x by 1 to get x by
x = 12/7
So the answer is  x = 12/7

Which is the 23rd term of the arithmetic series 5, 16, 27, ...? (3
timofeeve [1]
An arithmetic series is a pattern of a series of numbers with same difference. First, let's find the difference:

16 -5 = 11
27- 16 = 11

So, the arithmetic series is obtained by adding 11 to every previous number. The formula for an arithmetic series is

An = A1 + (n - 1)d

where An is the nth term in the series, A1 is the 1st term in the series, n is the number of terms in the series and d is the difference. Hence,

A23 = 5 + (23 -1)11
A23 = 5 + 11(22)
A23 = 247

Thus, the 23rd term is 247.

Which description best describes the solution to the following system of equations?
Ksivusya [100]
Y=-x/2+9
y=x+7
If we solve this system of equations, we can find the solution to the following system of equation.
we can solve this system of equation by equalization method.
-x/2+9=x+7
lowest common multiplo=2
-x+18=2x+14
-3x=-4
x=-4/-3=4/3

y=x+7=4/3  + 7=(4+7*3)/3=25/3

The solution is (4/3, 25/.3)

answer: Line y=-x/2+9 intersects line y =x+7
