The pace of the speech, Sotomayor was a measured pace, in which I reflected on the various simultaneous feelings I was experiencing (humility, emotion, challenge, gratitude and commitment). He also spoke of his deep affection for New York City.

At the end of his speech, Sotomayor returned to humility, the first emotion he had mentioned. "I'm here for the help of many," he said, "I'm still dreaming and enjoying the process of new discoveries, dream big and achieve a lot."
