No, Giuseppe Mazzini and Giuseppe Garibaldi were two different persons who helped in the unification of Italy. Mazzini was born in Genoa whereas Garibaldi was born in the Papal States. Garibaldi formed armed troops of volunteers who wore Red shirts to symbolize freedom and liberty.
