1. Ladepo: a poor teacher. He is the father of Aremu. Along with his wife, they always find it difficult to pay bills. He later becomes a pastor.

2. Baba Agba: Ladepo's father and Aremu's grandfather. He is a traditionalist. He continued to be truthful in his dealings. He was faithful to everybody he came across.

3. Aremu: He is Ladepo's son and grandson to Baba Agaba. He chose to live his life according to his choosing. He was later disowned by his father. He later traveled abroad to study.

4. Mope: she is Ladepo's wife. A teacher, but suffers due to her and her husband's salary. She's not aware of her husband's cunning ways as a pastor.

5. Alamutu: he is an Ifa priest, but not well-grounded in the practice. He usually charges people exorbitantly.
