Problem Set 3.2
djverab [1.8K]

Answer:

Fixed costs do not change as a result of a change in the production amount but variable costs do. So long as the item changes as a result of production, it is a variable cost.

1. Rent ⇒ Fixed

Once rent is paid, it will not change regardless of the quantity produced.

2. Thread ⇒ Variable

In an apparel shop like this one, more thread is needed to produce more clothes so this is a variable cost.

3. Buttons ⇒ Variable.

More buttons are needed for more clothes to be made.

4. Wages ⇒ Variable

Wages will change if more clothes need to be produced.

5. Electricity ⇒ Variable

Cost will change if more clothes are manufactured because more electricity will be used.

6. Cloth ⇒Variable

7. Equipment Rent ⇒ Fixed

This will not change regardless of production level just like rent.

8. Shipping Costs ⇒ Variable Cost

More clothes means more shipping costs to transport them.

9. Insurance ⇒ Fixed cost

10. Property Taxes ⇒ Fixed cost

This does not change regardless of production level as it is based on the property, not production.

Use the chart below to explain the ancient familial hierarchy? List the rights of each level
3241004551 [841]
Poor/slaves - Depending on who is their master, they may have almost no rights to large amounts of rights. If they have a 'horrible' master, they are usually worked to the bone and did not have any 'extras', for example being able to go view games, etc. If they have a 'good' master, they get treated well, and have the 'extras'.

consule- A consul is one of two annually elected chief magistrates of the Roman republic

Empire- Usually is the royal family, or the Caesar family, these usually have their titles passed down through family(?), unless there is a coup, and another family takes it over (which happened often towards the end of the empire)

hope this helps

How were the Romans able to move from wooden houses to more permanent structures?
astra-53 [7]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Although there are no options provided, we can say the following.

Romans were able to move from wooden houses to more permanent structures because they started to experiment with the use of concrete, cement, and better formulas to increase the quality of this material. Romans were also capable of exploring new ideas to create forms such as vaults and arches. Let's have in mind that Romans originally used a different material called "tufa" which was a volcanic rock. A solid material but not an aesthetical one. Years later, Romans cold mix concrete with volcanic sand to create a more resistant material. With the use of marble, Romans were capable of creating marvelous buildings and temples.
