Need Help). Question 1): Photosynthesis and cellular respiration are often described in two ways: 1) they are chemically opposit

e; and 2) they have a relationship to each other. Explain what these two statements mean. Be sure to include the specific substances used and released by each process. Question 2) Your skin is constantly producing new cells through cell division. How does this happen? During interphase, how does a cell prepare for division? Describe cell division, including the processes of mitosis and cytokinesis. Be sure to describe the mitotic steps. Question 3) Mitosis and meiosis are similar processes, but they have some very important differences. Explain how mitosis and meiosis are alike and how they are different. Provide at least two similarities and three differences. How does artificial selection cause rapid changes in the phenotypes of organisms?
bixtya [17]

Answer: A. By selecting dominant genotypes

Explanation:

Artificial selection or selective breeding can be defined as the induced breeding process in which humans select parents of plants and animals that have desired traits that are beneficial for them to produce offspring that have characteristics of both parents and they are of improved yield and quality. This brings the change in the phenotypes of the offspring as compared to the parents. As the passage of dominant desirable traits in the genotype from either of the parent when gets expressed then the phenotype of the organism also change.

Action potential in a motor neuron triggers the release of what neurotransmitter?
vodomira [7]

Answer:

Action potential in a motor neuron triggers the release of acetylcholine (ACh) neurotransmitter.

Explanation:

Acetylcholine: It is a neurotransmitter released by motor neurons which bind to the receptors end plates of the motor. When an action potential travel down the motor neuron's axon, neurotransmitter release occurs resulting in an influx of calcium and altered permeability of the synaptic terminal membrane.

The Ca2+ ions allow synaptic vesicles to move and bind with the presynaptic membrane which is present on the neuron and released neurotransmitter from the vesicles into the synaptic cleft. Once it's released ACh diffusion occurs across the synaptic cleft to the motor end plate, and binds with ACh receptor. As the neurotransmitter ACh binds, these ions channel open and sodium ions cross the membrane into the muscle cells.

In this phase reduction of voltage inside and outside the cell occurs, which is known as depolarization. When ACh binds to the motor end plate this depolarization is known as end plate potential. Then depolarization spread with the sarcolemma and creating an action potential. This action potential moves the entire cell and creating a wave of depolarization.

Common proteins are polymers of 20 different amino acids. How many amino acids are necessary for a protein polymer to have at le
VikaD [51]

Answer:

This way, for 20^2.55 = 2109 amino acids are require to have 2*1056 number different sequences.

Explanation:

Protein should contain 2*1056 of different sequence so

2*1056 = 20^x

 Log (2*1056) = log 20^x

3.3246 = (x ) * 1.3010

X= 2.555

Calcium has an atomic number of 20 and an atomic mass (weight) of 40. Therefore, we know that calcium has
romanna [79]
It would have 20 protons, 20 neutrons, and 20 electrons. Protons and electrons are USUALLY (I say usually because of the different types of atoms) the same as the atomic number. To find neutrons you take the atomic mass minus the atomic number. 40-20=20
