A popular news magazine has run an article on the candidates for the latest election. In the article they carefully explain the

candidates platforms and what they believe in. In order to get a gauge on who they think will win the election they ask the readers to go to a website and click on whom they plan on voting for in the election. They ensure that you can only vote once from the computer by recording the IP address.This method of voting causes a lot of bias in the selection process.
All of the reasons below are ISSUES with this type of selection process except:

A. Using different devices (computer, iPad, etc) some people vote more than once.

B. Some people vote on any survey they find without giving thought to the issue.

C. Many people won't take the time to got to the website, so only those who feel very strongly in favor of one go and vote

D. People read the article and determine which candidate most aligns with their beliefs and then go to the website and select that candidate.

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  5 seconds

Step-by-step explanation:

Suppose the front parts of the trains meet at point A. Since both are the same length and traveling the same speed, each will pass point A in time ...

  time = distance/speed

  time = (1/18 mi)/(40 mi/h) = (1/720 h) × (3600 s)/(1 h) = 5 s

That is, the rear part of each train will be at point A 5 seconds after the front part.

The rear parts will pass each other 5 seconds after the front parts meet.

City planners anticipate an 8.2% population growth per year, including new residents and births. The population, in millions of
NNADVOKAT [17]
<h2>Hello!</h2>

The answer is:

The correct option is the third option,

L(p(x))=2.425(1.082)^{x}

<h2>Why?</h2>

From the statement we know the function that models the population growth over the years (p(x)) but we have been told that there is an estimated loss that can be modeled by the function L(p), so in order to find which function represents the final function, we need to composite the function, which is the same that evaluate p(x) into the function L(p).

We are given:

p(x)=2.5(1.082)^{x}

and

L(p(x))=p(0.97)

So, the evaluationg p(x) into L(p), we have:

L(p(x))=p(0.97)\\\\L(p(x))=2.5(1.082)^{x}*(0.97)=0.97*2.5(1.082)^{x} \\\\L(p(x))=0.97*2.5(1.082)^{x}=2.425(1.082)^{x}\\\\L(p(x))=2.425(1.082)^{x}

Hence, the correct option is:

The third option,

L(p(x))=2.425(1.082)^{x}
