1) Mr. Jones status and role is similar to Hitler, in that he was acting as the 'supreme leader'. The role and status of his students were like the 'german people', thinking that what they are doing is right and beneficial, when in reality it hurts others.
2) norm: discipline, in that they must follow orders to the word. symbol, is the membership cards, in that with it, they know that they are 'part of the group', and is superior. Value, is the fact that they have strength through discipline and community.
3) With the use of Conformity and groupthink, they were able to first change the student's persepective, and to use them later on to change others into becoming like them, and to deny positive impacts to those who fail to comply to the rules
4) For those who fail to follow the 'standards' were considered outcasts and mistreated, while those who follow the 'standards' are known to be better, outstanding citizens.
