The reasons why a person can contract the HIV virus are: having unprotected sex, since it is not known if either person is a carrier of the virus. Blood transfusions are also a means of spreading the disease and also injecting drugs and sharing needles. Some illnesses that a person with the HIV / AIDS virus can have are tuberculosis, pneumonia, and toxoplasmosis.
