Because the transportation was better, everything was going on much more quickly, more efficiently, and on much longer distances. This enabled the farmers and the industry to produce in much higher quantity, and considering that the transportation was much more easy as well, the prices for transportation were dropping, causing the prices of the goods to be dropping as well.
