Sympathy involves understanding from your own perspective. Empathy involves putting yourself in the other person's shoes and understanding WHY they may have these particular feelings. In becoming aware of the root cause of why a person feels the way they do, we can better understand and provide healthier options.
sympathy-feelings of pity and sorrow for someone else's misfortune.so u are feeling sad for someone. and like u say sorry about something to someone because something happened.
empathy- the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. so like if someone said that they was sad u would feel empathy because u have the same feelings as they do.
