An annulus is the ring-like structure found on the stipe of some species or mushrooms. This represents the remaining part of the partial veil, after it has been ruptured to expose the gills or other pore producing surface. As its function is to disperse the spores.

The function of the ring or annulus is that, they help in dispersal of the spores.

Further explanation:

Mushrooms are used as a source of food in many countries. The most common mushroom which is found edible for eating is Agaricusbisporus as it is grown in a sterilized and controlled environment. Certain mushrooms are toxic in nature as they produce secondary metabolites.

The fruiting bodies are the spore containing structures present in the fungi. These spores are later dispersed for the process of reproduction. The tiny thread-like structure called hyphae makes up the fungi. These hyphae form a network of mycelium which spreads out into the soil in every direction. The mycelium then grows upwards towards the ground level and forms structures like cap, stalk, and gills. A cap and a stalk are the parts of a mushroom and the gills are the part where spores are produced.

Annulus or ring is kind of structure present on the stipe of mushroom. This is residual portion of the partial veil. In mature mushroom, partial veil become ring or annulus. They mainly protect and cover the gills of fruiting body. It is ruptured to expose the gills and they produce spore on the surface. Thus, they help in spore’s dispersal.

Gekata [30.6K]

Answer:The anesthetic may cause a severe headache, which is treatable."

Explanation:

Spinal anesthesia is a type of anesthesia which is administered locally using a fine needle between L3 and L4 space or L4 and L5 space in order to avoid injury to the spinal cord. This procedure is usually carried out by a trained health personnel such as:

- a nurse anesthetists and

- anesthesiologists

Spinal anaesthesia can be used in different surgical procedures such as Caesarea sections and to manage pain during vaginal delivery in MULTIGRAVID CLIENTS, which are those clients who has been pregnant more than once.

Caesarean section is usually done while the patient is awake with the use of spinal anaesthesia. Therefore it's important to explain any possible side effects from the drug to the patient which includes a severe type of headache called post-spinal headache and it's treatable.
