Graph the following features: slope= -3/2 y intercept = 2

Mathematics

Using the given information the equation of the line is y = -3/2x + 2

Now replace x with any number and solve for y. Do this twice to get to points to plot on the graph:

Using X = 0:

y = -3/2(0) + 2, y = 2

First point is (0,2)

Now X = 4:

y = -3/2(4) + 2 = -6 + 2 = -4

Second point = (4,-4)

A triangle with side lengths of 5 meters, 7 meters, and 9 meters
lbvjy [14]

Answer:

It is not a right angled troagle

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Sides: 5m, 7m and 9m

Required

Is it a right angled triangle?

A triangle is right angled if:

a^2 = b^2 + c^2

Where a is the longest side and b,c is any of the other.

So, we have:

9^2 = 5^2 + 7^2

81 = 25 + 49

81 \neq 74

Since they're not equal then it is not a right angled troagle

Clear selection
11. The mean of 2,5, (x+1),(x+2), 7 and 9 1 point
is 6. Find the median.
nadezda [96]

Answer:

median= 6.5

Step-by-step explanation:

6= 2+5+x+1+x+2+7+9/6

summing up the values

26+2x=36

collecting like terms,

2x=10

divide both sides by 2

x= 5

5+1=6

5+2=7

so the numbers are 2 5 6 7 7 and 9

the median = 6+7/2

= 6.5

Can’t afford to get wrong please do not write if you don’t know thanks !

You don't need to understand the construction or why it works. You only need to accept the fact that it does. You can figure out the answers to this question by looking at the picture.

RT is tangent to circle Q -- TRUE. That is the point of the construction.

QT is a radius of circle Q -- TRUE. Q is the center and T is on the circle. A line segment from the center to a point on the circle is a radius.

m∠QSR = 90° -- FALSE. Those points lie on the same line. The measure of the angle is 180°.

QS = QT -- FALSE. S lies inside circle Q, so is closer to the center than T, which lies on the circle. (For some choice of point R, S might lie on the circle, but because this statement is not always true, it must be considered false.)

ΔRTQ is a right triangle -- TRUE. A tangent line is always perpendicular to the radius to the point of tangency. The construction succeeds because RTQ is inscribed in semicircle RTQ (centered at S). Such a triangle is always a right triangle.
