What is true love?
True love can not be contained in a single definition. For true love to be recognized, it must manifest the characteristics which are written in the Bible.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8a states:
1) Love is patient
2) Love is kind
3) It does not envy
4) It does not boast
5) It is not proud
6) It is not rude
7) It is not self-seeking
8) It is not easily angered
9) It does not keep records of wrongdoings
10) Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth
11) It always protects, trusts, hopes, persevere.
12) Love does not fail.
Love is not merely a feeling but a devotion which is accompanied by action, standing by the decision to truly love.
A perfect example of true love is the love we receive from our Lord God.
