Donde:

  • T_{o} - Temperatura inicial, en grados Celsius.
  • \Delta T - Cambio total de la temperatura, en grados Celsius.
  • \Delta t - Cambio total en el tiempo, en horas.
  • t - Tiempo, en horas.

Si sabemos que T_{o} = 3\,^{\circ}C, \Delta T = -12\,^{\circ}C. \Delta t = 3\,h y t = 1\,h, entonces la temperatura del congelador al completarse la primera hora es:

T(1\,h) = 3\,^{\circ}C + \left(\frac{-12\,^{\circ}C}{3\,h} \right)\cdot (1\,h)

T(1\,h) = -1\,^{\circ}C
