Answer:

A) The primary purpose of the prologue in Sugar Changed the World is to inform the reader about the impact of sugar. The text shows the history of sugar production and also shows that it led to slavery. The text also provides key details on the use of sugar spreading around the world, and how this changed all of our food.

B) The central idea of the text is that sugar had a positive and negative impact on the world. The central idea of the text is that there are many “hidden costs” in the impact of the sugar industry.

C) The central ideas of the texts are in conflict. The author of “Sugar” contends that the impact of sugar has been negative, while the authors of Sugar Changed the World convey that there are also positive results of the sugar industry.

According to your textbook, when you prepare speaking notes for your first speech, you should a. make sure the notes can be read
ANTONII [103]

Answer:

a. make sure the notes can be read at arm's length

Explanation:

You don't want to sound like you are reading your speech word for word so bullet points are best, using both sides of your index cards would be more confusing and messy. You really want to be able to not have to focus hard on your card, so being able to see them clearly is important

Dear Friend!

How are you? I am very fine here. I want to share my experiences that I had during our summer vacation. Our examinations were hectic and I really needed to relax myself. This vacation was a boon to me as I was able to enjoy as well as learn something new. My grandparents took me on a trip to Shimla for three days and the climate was really snowy. It was the first time that I ever saw snow. I had a lot of fun skiing and playing with the snow. After that, I enrolled for computer classes for 5 days. I was taught about how to use adobe Photoshop and other related tools. The classes were very interesting and I feel that you will like it too. I will share my experiences with you at school. I am waiting to see you my friend.

Hoping to hear from you.

Take care!

Yours Lovingly,
