T Cells
Lymphocytes are basically classified into two namely, the B and T cells. The B cells give antibody-mediated immunity while the T cells provide cell-mediated immunity.
The memory cytotoxic T lymphocyte is stored as reserve in the body so that in the event of the reoccurrence of a disease, it will resolve itself into the cytotoxic T cell that will fight the disease antigen.
