A person's eligibility for release from prison is dependent on  the law and

sentence imposed by the court.

When a person is tried and found guilty in the court of law, the judge reads

out the sentence which is meant to be served by the party guilty of the

offence.

When he's done or is some years into the sentence, the individual can be

released on normal grounds or on parole. Community supervision then

comes in as it helps integrate the affected individual into the society.
