In the performing stage of group development, members focus on problem solving, as it is at this stage that consensus and cooperation among the team takes place, helping to execute the group's goals and objectives.

There are five stages of group development, which are:

  1. Forming
  2. Storming
  3. Norming
  4. Performing
  5. Adjourning

In the performing stage, the team is already organized and well integrated, where each member has their specific role and the skills and experiences of each are used for the benefit of the group.

Therefore, in the performing stage there is greater team structuring, collaboration, motivation and commitment, where all members work in consensus to achieve results.
