The ideology that supported the policy issue that was described in the scenario will be:

  • Liberals tend to favor an increase in the minimum wage.
  • Conservatives tend to oppose the increase in the minimum wage.

Also, the ideological perspective that was described affected the legislative process in Congress on the policy issue as Democrats tend the be more liberal and therefore would be more likely to support the increase in the minimum wage.

It should also be noted that the Republicans are more conservative and therefore will likely not support an increase in the minimum wage.
