The answers are underneath each problem. The reason this makes sense is  due to the distributive property.

27. GCF of 27 and 12 is 3

3(4+9)

28. GCF of 12 and 36 is 12

12(1+3)

29. GCF of 16 and 20 is 4

4(4+5)

30. GCF of 2x and 8 is 2

2(x+4)

31. GCF of 30 and 12x is 6

6(5+2x)

32. GCF of 42x and 49 is 7

7(6x+7)

To do this, find the GCF and then divide each number by so. Then, add them in parenthisis and multiply it by the GCF

Alexxx [7]
Well.. 160 x 3 = 480. So he would've had to give only 2 bags. But he would've given a fraction of a bag, but if you're only talking whole numbers, then the answer is 2. If you're talking fractions, then the answer is 2.51875.

60 is 5/6 of what number?
Stels [109]
If x = the number you are trying to find:
60 =  \frac{5}{6}  * x
\frac{60}{ \frac{5}{6} }  = x
and when dividing by a fraction you can flip it and multiply instead:
60 * 6/5 = 72
The number is 72

Please, Help!
Veronika [31]

Answer:

adults = 40

children = 68

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the children=c

Let the adults = a

<em><u>Equations</u></em>

a + c = 108                 (1)

3.75a + 1.5c = 252    (2)

Multiply (1) by 1.5

1.5a + 1.5c = 162        (3)

Subtract (3) from (2)

3.75a + 1.5c = 252

1.5   a + 1.5c = <u>162</u>    Subtract

2.25a             = 90   Divide by 2.25

a = 90/2.25

a = 40

<em><u>Find the number of children</u></em>

a + c = 108

40 + c = 108

c = 108 - 40

c = 68

<em><u>Check</u></em>

LHS

3.75 * 40 + 1.50 * 68

150 + 102

252 Which checks with the right hand side.

Please solve it. It will help me for my exam preparation.
lisov135 [29]

The solution of the given expression is [p^{2}(p-y)^{y-1} (p-y)^{y-2} -2p(p-y)^{y} (p-y)^{y-2} +7(p-y)^{y} (p-y)^{y-1}]/  (p-y)^{y} (p-y)^{y-1}(p-y)^{y-2}

Given p^{2} /(p-y)^{y} -2p/(p-y)^{y-1} +7/(p-y)^{y-2}

We have to solve the above expression.

We know that expression is a combination of numbers, symbols, variables and coefficients, indeterminants. Expression shows relationship between variables. LCM is the smallest number that is divisible by both the numbers whose LCM has been taken. Coefficients are present in the beginning of variables. Symbols are arithmetic signs like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, etc.

We have to take LCM of the expression and solve accordingly so that the expression can be solved =

p^{2} /(p-y)^{y} -2p/(p-y)^{y-1} +7/(p-y)^{y-2}=  [p^{2}(p-y)^{y-1} (p-y)^{y-2} -2p(p-y)^{y} (p-y)^{y-2} +7(p-y)^{y} (p-y)^{y-1}]/  (p-y)^{y} (p-y)^{y-1}(p-y)^{y-2}

Hence the expression  p^{2} /(p-y)^{y} -2p/(p-y)^{y-1} +7/(p-y)^{y-2} is equal to = [p^{2}(p-y)^{y-1} (p-y)^{y-2} -2p(p-y)^{y} (p-y)^{y-2} +7(p-y)^{y} (p-y)^{y-1}]/  (p-y)^{y} (p-y)^{y-1}(p-y)^{y-2}
