Transference is the process whereby clients place past feelings or attitudes they had toward significant people in their lives onto their therapist.
The name which is given to the actions of the therapist who takes note during a session with one of his clients to help him solve some unconscious issues is transference .As a result of this, we can see that the therapist is engaged in interpretation where he seeks to understand the unconscious experiences of his client by asking him questions and then writing down his observations.
