Principal = 109,000

Return - 9,920

Return = (principal x rate x time)/100

X = the amount invested at 12%

Then 102000- x = the amount invested at 8%

9920 = (x*12)/100 + (109000-x*8)100

x = 30,000

a) 30,000 is invested at 12%

79,000 is invested at 8%

b) The 12% investment is riskier so if all the money was in that account the investor could lose all his money.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 180 degrees in a triangle. With that information we can make the equation: 180=(47+85)+x.

When you solve it becomes:

180=132+x --> x=48 degrees

Hope that helped!

Question 3<br> Find the equation of the line joining (-2,4) and (3,7)
otez555 [7]

Answer:

y = (3/5)x+26/5 or 5y = 3x+26

Step-by-step explanation:

Applying,

The equation of a line in two point form

(y₂-y₁)/(x₂-x₁) = (y-y₁)/(x-x₁)............... Equation 1

From the question,

Given: y₂ = 7, y₁ = 4, x₂ = 3, x₁ = -2

Substitute these values into equation 1

(7-4)/[3-(-2)] = (y-4)/(x+2)

3/5 = (y-4)/(x+2)

5(y-4) = 3(x+2)

5y-20 = 3x+6

5y = 3x+6+20

5y = 3x+26

y = (3/5)x+26/5

Hence the equation of the line is y = (3/5)x+26/5 or 5y = 3x+26
