A decision by the University of Education that could affect a student would be a sudden change in the curriculum of a certain course, with the inclusion of more requirements that were not foreseen.

In order to have a better judgment about the need for this decision to involve students in the decision, it is better to have a greater understanding of some concepts.

Vroom's decision tree approach

This approach aims to establish the amount of participation that subordinates should have in decisions related to the organization. Vroom's decision tree uses the objective path to identify the different leadership styles that should be taken according to the current situation.

That is, according to the theory, the same leader can establish different leadership styles according to organizational needs.

Therefore, it is essential that the University seeks a consensus through a democratic leadership style that generates the participation of involved and affected parties, to generate greater transparency and adherence to changes.

Reducing toxic hazardous waste can be done through bioremediation. An example is composting. Composting is the use of microorganisms in the presence of oxygen to degrade the toxic wastes present in the soil. It may be placed in a container with holes on it and can be rotated to allow oxygen to interact with the microorganisms and degrade the wastes. Superfund is a program from EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) that helps in cleaning some of the US’s most contaminated land and responding to environmental emergencies, oil spills and natural disasters. One of its targets this coming June 8 is the Portland Harbor.

Another reason why the procedure works is the random sampling, where the assistants made sure that the only characteristic that mattered was being a student; gender, major being pursued, age, etc. were not of relevance.
