There are different event that took place in the Meroe and Napata Kushtic empire. The main event of Meroe and Napata Kushtic history is trade.

  • The city of Meroe  is known to composed of merchants, weavers, potters, masons, servants, laborers, slaves etc. They often trade in long distance to the north via Nile and to the East and West through the use of camel caravans.

The trading items  were iron weapon, cotton cloth, gold, ivory, tortoiseshells etc.

  • Napata was a known to be a good location for trade as it stood along the upper Nile where the trade caravan crossed the river

Kush traders are known to trade as they received leopard skins, valuable woods, enslaved workers, iron products.  They were known to have had a great trading power for some 600 years.
