EXPLAIN THE MISTAKE

Mathematics
1 answer:
Vlad [161]3 years ago
7 0

Step-by-step explanation:

Both of these mistakes were made bc someone didn't know what "supplementary" means. If two angles are supplementary (an angle and its supplement) they ADD UP TO 180°

Mistake: They used 90 in the original set up. These angles do not add up to 90°.

47+x=180 subtract 47 from both sides

x = 133°

In #5, MISTAKE: the original set up, they put the two angles equal to each other. The two shown angles laying next to each other add up to 180°

115°+ (5x-10)°= 180° combine like terms

5x + 105° = 180 subtract 105 from both sides

5x = 75 divide by 5

x = 15

In a missile-testing program, one random variable of interest is the distance between the point at which the missile lands and t
Arisa [49]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given data

we observed that the missile testing program

Y1 and Y2 are variable, they are also independent

We are aware that

(Y_1)^2 and (Y_2)^2 have x^2 distribution with 1 degree of freedom

and V=(Y_1^2)+(Y_2)^2 has x^2 with 2 degree of freedom

F_v(v)=\frac{e^{-\frac{v}{2}}}2

Since we have to find the density formula

U=\sqrt{V}

We use method of transformation

h(V)=\sqrt{U}\\\\=U

There inverse function is h^-^1(U)=U^2

We derivate the fuction above with respect to u

\frac{d}{du} (h^-^1(u))=\frac{d}{du} (u^2)\\\\=2u^2^-^1\\\\=2u

Therefore,

F_v(u)=F_v(h-^1)(u)\frac{dh^-^1}{du} \\\\=\frac{e^-\frac{u^-^}{2} }{2} (2u)\\\\=e^-{\frac{u^2}{2} }U

Which algebraic expression represents the phrase "two times the quantity of a number minus 12"? A. 2y - 12 B. 2(y -12) C. 2(y +
bazaltina [42]

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

Two times the quantity of a number minus 12.

Represent the number with the variable y.

The quantity of a number minus 12 is then: (y-12).

Two times this quantity is 2(y-12).

So the answer is 2(y-12), which is B.
