What is the best description of salinity of ocean water
Snowcat [4.5K]

The salinity can simple be defined as the amount of salt that is contained in the ocean waters.

The salinity of the ocean waters comes from the interaction of the chlorine and the sodium which are in abundance. With their interaction the salt is created, or chemically, the NaCl.

The salinity varies from place to place, and it is dependent on multiple factors, with the climate being the most important, backed by the income of freshwater from rivers and streams.

The hotter it is, the higher the salinity, because there's bigger evaporation and the salt concentrates more, and vice versa.

The waters that are near a coast, and there's a stream or a river that constantly bring in freshwater, are less saline, because the freshwater increases the amount of water on the amount of salt, thus it is much more dispersed.

How does the atmosphere transfer heat from Areas which experience a net radiation surplus to areas which experience net radiatio
Brums [2.3K]
Solar radiation is highly absorbed on land where the latitudes receive direct sunlight. Then scatters to the polar regions.  The heat gathered between land and the reflection of heat from land to the atmosphere creates the net radiation surplus.

When solar radiation stretches to the polar regions it slowly loses heat and it becomes lesser than the heat reflected back to the atmosphere. This creates the net radiation loss.

The earth’s tectonic plates are always moving. We can measure their movements using GPS, just like we can track a car or a teena
laila [671]

Answer:

The tectonic plates are continuously moving and earthquakes are happening all the time.

Explanation:

An earthquake is the seismic waves travelling through the lithosphere. They occur along tectonic plate boundaries and faults. In areas that are far from these plate boundaries and faults, earthquakes are less likely to be felt. The size of the earthquake is mostly unnoticeable. Bigger earthquakes happen with a build of tension that is suddenly released. It does not happen as often because it takes time to build up the pressure.
