When it comes to any medication that involves mental health treatment its trial and error until his psychiatrist can prescribe him what's just right. All medications have Negative effect that's a given but not all are as severe as the other. for example Jim may be prescribed one medication lets say he's prescribed Saphris and gains severe weight. His psychiatrist can switch out the Saphris for Abilify.
