Quinn returned home one summer's day to find it sweat-inducingly hot! He turned the air conditioner on and fell asleep. The room

's temperature decreased by 0.5∘ Celsius each minute, and Quinn woke up 60 minutes later when it was 10∘Celsius. Graph the room's temperature (in degrees Celsius) as a function of time (in minutes).

Temperature drops 0.5 degrees each minute.

Initial temperature was 10 deg. Celsius. So, after 10 minutes, there will be a decrease of 5 degrees and the temperature will be 10-5 = 5 degrees.

After 30 minutes, there will be a decrease of 15 degrees and after 60 minutes, there will be a decrease of 30 degrees.

So, after 60 minutes, the temperature is 10 - 30 = - 20 degrees.

Please refer the graph for room temperature.

Answer:

The verified "Expert answer" is wrong.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the temperature increases by 0.5 each minute you multiply it by 60 because thats how long he fell asleep for. You get 30. So over 60 minutes the house cooled down by 30 degrees. But by an hour it was 10°. So 30+10=40. The initial temperature is 40°. So it starts at 80 and one of the points is (60,10)

I don't know why they would say "verified expert answer" when it's not.

How many triangles can be constructed with sides measuring 6 cm, 2 cm, and 7 cm?
andriy [413]

Answer:

 Option A- One

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that : The sides of the triangle  measuring 6cm, 2cm and 7cm.

We are using : Triangle inequality

The sum of the length of the two sides should be greater than the length of the third side.

So, when we apply this theorem in 6cm,2cm and 7cm

6+2=8>7 , 7+2=9>6 , 7+6=13>2

It satisfy all three possible sets.

Therefore, the given values follows the triangle inequality.

Hence one triangle can be formed.

Therefore, option A is correct.
