The issue of moving to America generates different cultural adaptations between Amir and Baba, characters in the book The Kite Runner.

These changes in the Social Institutions that both attend can generate changes in the personality and attitudes of each individual, impacting their relationship.

Social Institutions

They are the existing institutions in society to promote organization and social cohesion. Through them, the rules of a society are established, responsible for the integration and socialization process. Some examples:

 • Family
 • School
 • Work
 • Church
 • State

Therefore, when moving from Afghanistan to America, Amir and his Baba face a new process of cultural adaptation and socialization, which can institute new ethical and moral behaviors.

For example, the change in power of Baba, who when moving to America got a more humble job, at a gas station, which generated new perceptions in him and in his son Amir, generating a closer relationship.

Why is the Renaissance considered a departure from the Middle Ages and the beginning of modernity? How do the ideals of the Rena
Zinaida [17]

Answer:

The position holders of Middle ages did not have an active life.

Explanation:

During the Middle ages, reading, writing, painting and literature was the main focus and are therefore considered as the contemplative era. Also, the clergy person like priest, theologian and monastery stayed away from the public and did not have an active life. Renaissance led to the inclusion of all these sections into the public domain which meant that they also participated actively in society now. Humanism, one of the ideals of Renaissance, means that everyone must live like a normal human being as part of the society. Humanism meant inclusion of all sections and equality for everyone. On the other hand, the religious preachers of that time did not believe in that and this created a challenge that became prevalent during the Reformation.

andrezito [222]

Answer:

That statement is false

Explanation:

It's the other way around. Their research shows that when the canadians put in the same situation, their judgement regarding acts of violence actually similar and consistent with the judgement made by the americans.

(this research finding is a little bit surprising because Canadians are more well known to have a more polite and gentle culture)

In general , their judgement regarding acts of violence can be influenced by their primal human instincts.

For example, the research showed that:

- both canadians and Americans overwhelmingly approved that acts of violence are justifiable if being done toward people who are broken into their house.

- Both Canadians and Americans overwhelmingly disapproved of acts of violence toward group of protesters.
