If you graph the heat added to a system versus the system's temperature, the graph usually slopes upward; adding heat increases temperature.

Answer:

The rate of temperature changes and doesn't stay constant over time becasue the temperature T(t) is not a linear function of time. This means that if the object is initially at 10 degrees and the atmosphere is at 30 degrees, then time taken to increase from 10 to 12 degrees will be different to the time taken to increase temperature from 12 to 14 degrees and so on.

Charles law states that volume of a gas is directly proportional to temperature at constant pressure for a fixed amount of gas. the pressure at given conditions is 1.00 atm and the standard pressure at STP conditions too is 1.00 atm therefore pressure remains constant.
V1/T1 = V2/T2
the parameters for the first instance are on the left side and parameters at STP are on the right side of the equation.
T1 - temperature in kelvin - 273 + 30.0 °C = 303 K
T2 - standard temperature - 273 K
V1 - volume - 50.0 L
substituting the values in the equation
50.0 L / 303 K = V / 273 K V = 45.0 L
answer is 2) 45.0 L

Describe how an acidic solution forms when HCHIS
kakasveta [241]
The presence of H3O+ is the hydronium ion, and one definition of an acid is something that donates a proton (H+). HCl in this case does just that. Basic solution forming with NaOH and water: ... NaOH + H2O ==>Na+ + OH- so it donates or produces OH- ions, thus making a basic solution
