What is the meaning in Macbeth when Duncan says to Banquo, "I have begun to plant thee and will labor/To make thee full of growing" (1.4.32-33)?

Answer: In 1.4 Duncan tells Macbeth and Banquo, to whom he is grateful for their battle exploits, "I have begun to plant thee, and will labour/To make thee full of growing." Banquo tells Duncan "There if I grow/The harvest is your own."
