U. S. exports will rise, other things equal when the $ depreciates.
The Commerce Department reported on Thursday that the trade deficit decreased by more than 6% in June. In part as a result of a minor decline in imports. That is probably due to the fact that people haven't been purchasing as much this year. However, a significant factor in the trade deficit's reduction in June was the rise in U.S. exports, which reached a record high of $260.8 billion. The majority of those exports, too? Europe will purchase as much LNG as it can because the U.S. just so happened to be building new facilities across the Gulf of Mexico, according to Verleger.
