Answer: The answer is B, should.

Explanation: A helping verb (also known as an auxiliary verb) is used with a main verb to help express the main verb's tense, mood, or voice. The main helping verbs are: "to be," "to have," and "to do." They appear in the following forms:

To Be: am, is, are, was, were, being, been, will be

To Have: has, have, had, having, will have

To Do: does, do, did, will do

There is another kind of helping verb called a modal auxiliary verb (or modal verb). The modal auxiliary verbs are "can," "could," "may," "might," "must," "ought to," "shall," "should," "will," and "would." The modal auxiliary verbs never change their forms.

They sold two ice cream bars to my mother and I.
mote1985 [20]

The first one wouldnt make sense becuase "we" is talking about you and your mother so that one is incorrect. The third would be wrong becuase youre describing yourself, not "she". The last wouldnt make snese whatsoever becuase it would damage the grammar. The only one that would work here would be the second one: I should be changed to me even though i am unsure is this is correct. :)

Part Two: Write two sentences for each of the word pairs. Correctly use each word in a sentence.
STatiana [176]

Answer:

Weather - I’m surprised to see that the weather was becoming warmer.

Whether - Whether we want to admit it or not, we all wish everyone would like us.

Affect - An early frost in Florida can affect the orange crop negatively.

Effect - The effect of the medicine on her illness was surprisingly fast.

Accept - They offered him a job, & he accepted.

Except - Everything was in good order except the boots

Explanation:

Weather is primarily used as a noun. It is the state of the atmosphere in a particular place e.g., rain, sunshine, snow and so on. Whether is a conjunction. It is mostly used to introduce a clause and express a doubt or choice between alternatives.

Affect and effect are easy to mix up. Here's the short version of how to use affect vs. effect. Affect is usually a verb, and it means to impact or change. Effect is usually a noun, an effect is the result of a change.

Accept means to agree or to receive something offered. Except means excluding or with the exception of. The ex- of except can help you to remember that it means excluding.
